About the Role:
Perigee Manufacturing Company, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Assistant to join our team in Detroit, MI! This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key office and financial role in a dynamic manufacturing environment where your accuracy and expertise will directly support our operations and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner
- Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Generate financial reports and summaries for management review
- Monitor and track inventory-related financial transactions in support of manufacturing operations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Front-desk support
- Filing, record keeping
- Scheduling, office organization
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in a manufacturing setting (minimum of 5 years required)
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop (minimum of 5 years required)
- Proficiency in other bookkeeping software such as Sage or similar platforms preferred
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Exceptional Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Associate's / Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance required

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
